Drowning Pool, Adema, No Loving Place, Orestus

Who says you can't rock it out on a Wednesday night?! Well no one can say that anymore because last night was an explosive evening of hard rock with some excellent local talent and great national acts all together on one stage at The Stones Throw in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin! Drowning Pool, Adema, No Loving Place, and Orestus all on one night, all on one stage for a hard-rocking feverish night of loud music and great drinks.

We tried to show up early this evening, but were delayed enroute and found a huge line when we arrived. By the time we were able to get ourselves situated upstairs on the mezzanine at around 8pm the place was already totally packed. Tonight's show would definitely be standing room only!

In between sets we were able to speak with some of the guys that head up the Northwoods Rock Rally. These guys were having a great time and some of the girls we spoke to mentioned that the party bus drinking activities started as early as 1pm for most of those on the bus! Wow! The next time there's an activity like this in the Chippewa Valley Area you might want to check out the Northwoods Rock Rally Party Bus!

Band Notes:

Orestus led the night off with some hardcore rock - we got there as their set was winding down and had just enough time to enjoy a beer as they finished up.

No Loving Place was able to put in an extended set since Adema's bus was having Wisconsin weather issues. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed the extra music NLP was able to throw at it.

Despite having some weather issues with the bus, Adema was able to come in out of the cold and rock some new music off their latest album "Kill the Headlights".

Drowning Pool finished the night out with some "Old School Drowning Pool" as lead singer Ryan McCombs would call it. A tribute to the soldiers fighting in Iraq as well as those that have already come home or have served in the past - these hard-hitting, fist-raising rock songs would fill The Stones Throw with a fever and angst that drove out the cold and created a sweat on everyone in the place!

Hats off to the guys down at The Stones Throw for putting together another excellent evening of hard rocking music with some national headlining bands. Great job guys!
