We posted a bulletin through our myspace page about last Saturday night's Drunk Driver's show down at the House of Rock. Well, here's a bit of a recap from that evening's rock and roll experience. Despite the cold, and despite the snow, there would be a nice crowd of people out to enjoy some loud music from some local bands.
As you can see in the title of this blog post we chose to use the phrase "Loud and Local", which had in the past been used by 99.9 The Carp to signify their coverage of (you guessed it) loud and local bands. We haven't heard anything recently from them so we're going to steal that "Loud and Local" phrase and throw some of that loud and local music back at Eau Claire, Wisconsin with some video footage and pics.
First on for the evening were the three gentlemen (yea right!) from I, Torrent. Brent K with backing vocals and bass guitar, Shawn Lau on vocals and lead guitar, and Eric Lee with backing vocals and drums.
Next up we have a lively band out of the Twin Cities. Dropping by from Minneapolis, The Rockford Mules take to the stage with some great music.
The next band up for the evening was the Drunk Drivers with their stalker of a hit "Gwyneth Paltrow". This is the portion of the evening where Cloverfield starts to take over at the helm of the video camera and we begin accepting stand-in videographers!
More to come as the week goes on, stay tuned as the pictures are added to the site...
